Martec Engineering Rear 3 Link Kit for Toyota Tacoma (2005+)
If you're serious about pushing the limits of your 2G or 3G Tacoma (and maybe even the 4G soon enough), Martec’s 3 Link rear kit is about as real as it gets.
This isn't your average bolt-on performance mod. It's built around 15 inches of usable wheel travel, proper geometry, and hardware that’s meant to be wheeled hard.
Whether you're looking at a Dana60/70 or a Sterling 10.5 for the rear or sticking with your stock Toyota housing, this kit brings full-trailing-arm or link performance without the custom fab house shop markup.

DIY SAS Kit with Impressive Travel

Designed for 2.5" x 12" coilovers with piggyback or remote reservoirs (whatever you want to run), the rear link kit cycles just under 15 inches of usable rear wheel travel.
Shock fitment is designed around the following shocks:
- FOX 980-02-107
- KING PR2512-CONR
- RADFLO 6CR-003-90
You have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to shocks.
And unlike full custom work, the frame plates, towers, and mounts are all keyed and slotted for true alignment. No guessing when burning in the brackets. Just measure, burn it in, and go.
Flex Options

The kit comes in two options at checkout:
- 5” stretch for Super Duty Sterling 10.5 with 3.5” axle tubes
- 2” stretch for OEM Tacoma rear axle (3” axle tubes)
If you're running the stock Toyota axle, you’ll need a 2” wheel spacer and a wheel with at least a -13 offset to clear the arms. Ride height gain varies between 2.5–5 inches, depending on front setup and coilover preload.
Frame Reinforcement Where It Matters

Rear frame plates wrap top and bottom around the stock rails once the leaf brackets are cut off.
Each side is tabbed for perfect placement of towers and panhard mounts. This means no template headaches and no misalignment.
The towers are 2nd and 3rd gen Tacoma-specific, designed to sit inside the wheel tubs without cutting into the bed floor. The shocks mount directly to the trailing arms.
Link Geometry Built for Abuse
The trailing arms use 2” x .250” wall DOM tubing, with 1.25” heims at the axle and 1” uniballs with Delrin wobble stoppers at the frame side.
All link hardware is 3/4” Grade 8.
The upper link uses the same 2” x .250” wall DOM with 1.25” heims on both ends, and the frame side mount gives proper exhaust clearance without interfering with travel.
Panhard Bar That Stays Flat
The included panhard bar is 1.5” x .120” wall DOM with 7/8” heims at both ends and 5/8” Grade 8 bolts.
The axle-side bracket keeps the panhard low and flat at ride height... no weird geometry or binding when things cycle. The frame-side bracket keys directly into the rear frame plates.
What’s Included:
- Rear frame wrap plates (keyed and slotted)
- Shock towers (Tacoma-specific, bed-friendly design)
- Upper link mounts (frame and axle side)

Final Thoughts
This isn’t a mass-market lift kit.
It’s a legit rear link conversion for guys who want the most out of their Tacoma without spending months in fab limbo. It's not a fully custom setup, but it will likely be the coolest truck you've ever built.
